Public Speaking
I have over 6 years of public speaking experience. I have received numerous awards for various speaking events, such as Team Policy Debate, Mars Hill Impromptu, Persuasive Speaking, and Dramatic Interpretation. Take a listen to some of my favorite speeches!
Mars Hill is a speaking event where a competitor is given 4 minutes of preparation time to connect culture to Christianity. This speech won first place at the Heart of the Valley speech and debate tournament in 2019, connecting the classic book "Uncle Tom's Cabin" with the theme of forgiveness

Award-Winning Persuasive Speech
I wrote, researched and presented this speech in 2018 about the dangers of physical donations for disaster relief efforts. Qualifying for nationals, this speech took 1st place at the A Ready Response tournament and the Espresso Cup tournament. Overall ranking 3rd in California.
Parliamentary Final Debate Round
Parliamentary debate is an extemporaneous form of debate where competitors have 20 minutes to prepare before speaking. The resolution for this round was the harms of artificial intelligence outweigh the benefits. My partner and I won the debate at the Concordia Challenge tournament with a 5-2 decision in our favor.
Award-Winning Original Oratory
This National-qualifying speech is about the importance of sadness in our culture. I compiled all the research and presented this speech in 2019 where I took 2nd place at the Central Valley Challenge tournament and 3rd place at both A Ready Response tournament and the Camelback Classic tournament.
